| As you can see, the Boss was pretty worn out. According to Pete, he received the car in 1975 for payment on some electrical work he did for a guy who never came back with the money and instead, just signed over the pink slip! The damage you see all occurred within 5 years of this car's life, so it goes to show just how hard some of the Bosses and other high performance cars of the era were driven. The rear taillight panel was removed by myself not so much for rust but it had been hit and bondo'd over, so I decided to replace it with a factory replacement panel which I believe only cost 25 bucks from the local Ford dealer at the time. Other than that, nearly all the sheet metal on the Boss is original and the floors and the rest of the car are very sound. Check out the velocity stack coming out of the Shaker hood - you gotta love the 1970s!! |
